I have a Product with 2 Different PCB Fiducial allocation in the Design. It has 4 Fine Pitch components. The first PCB DO NOT have Fiducial Mark on the board itself BUT has Fiducial on the Break-OFF Tabs. The second PCB has no Break-Off Tab but has f

Here's your design rules: * IPC-2221 * IPC-2222 Bonus is that they include the works, not just break-away tabs

check your de-panelling process if you are using break-out tabs or V scoring.

We throw the break-off tabs in the scrap board bin. If your tabs have metal content, metals recycling firms will probably take them. Most tabs have no metal content.

I'm trying to determine the best panelization technique, but have been unfruitful in my internet search for more information. I'm trying to determine the advantages and disadvantages of using either V-scoring or tab-routing (break-away tabs), but ha

Chunks... You are pretty damn awesome! Anyways, in regards to the original thread, we do get good boards from china as well, but we have had issues with stack-up tolerances and even mouse bite (drilled break away) tabs. Not to long ago, we left t

Thanks Dave for the reply. I understand there is + and - to each process. We have been doing v-score for a long time and for the most part it has work for us. As PCAs become more dense and components are squeezed to use most of the PCB space, it now

Has anyone use both methods of depaneling on PCB breaktabs? meaning v-score at the edge of the pcb and mouse bites on the opposite side of the tab (break out panel)? Thanks

The chip resistors are placed on the edge of the board, but the board has no or enough waste tabs. When de-panelizing, the bits may contact and break them. You can use a smt carrier, or add waste tabs in your next assembly manufacturing.
