Solder bath temperature

Electronics Forum | Tue Feb 14 01:00:47 EST 2017 | soldertraining

Soldering Bath - When we need to tin high-power contacts or a lot of wires, for example, in making harnesses, a regular soldering iron is either impossible to use due to the high thermal capacitance requirement, or takes way too long to perform the t

DI cleaner (washer) bath temperature

Electronics Forum | Tue Feb 27 10:19:06 EST 2007 | Michael Konrad

If youre running chemistry in the wash, the wash temperature will be influenced by the chemical manufacturers recommendations. Typically, wash chemistries recommend operating temperatures between 130F and 150F. If your application is straight D

Traceability can be made for many things. It is up to the factory and what it wants to implement. You can have traceability on the stencil for a several reasons: 1. Want to check stencil cycles 2. Want to verify if stencil is the correct one loaded 3

I agree with you. I just said, if it is customer requirement, factory has to implement it, right? :) Of course it is huge amount of money. SPI is the main control, but it doesnt save you the pressure, speed, snap of from the printer to the trace (us

In addition, how to deal with the misprint immersion Ag PCB?Now,we just remove the paste, clean it,and exposed in air for 2 hours, and then put to use.

Solder paste stencil life

We normally disregard what the "tech" sheets say. A lot of it has to do with your printer settings, prints per hour, placement time, stencil cleaning procedures etc... Just another wrench to throw in, We have noticed lot to lot paste differences al

There's a lot of parameters to consider in defining stencil life cycle. Average squeegee pressure used, in-process cleaning frequency (auto and manual), physical appearance over time, tension reading over time, and so on to decide how many print cycl

Immersion silver life span

Electronics Forum | Thu Apr 14 06:00:01 EDT 2005 | bryan

The shelf life of immersion silver is 6 to 12 months in good storage conditions. The finish is usually coated with a protective layer that inhibits oxidation (like with copper OSP). Care must be taken when handling the boards as the protective la

Blue color in solder bath and tinned lead

Electronics Forum | Thu Mar 10 13:05:41 EST 2005 | patrickbruneel

This phenomenon is caused by a high amount of halogens (Cl, Br etc.) used in the flux activators or in the flux surfactants. We've seen effects creating all colors of the rainbow. Changing to No-Clean (halide-free) will eliminate this color effect.

Blue color in solder bath and tinned lead

Patrick told you why, But here is some more info for ya, I would absolutely not recommend that wires be tinned with OA. The residue will never get cleaned underneath the insulation and all of your strands will strt to break in the near/far future.
