Did you ask Mirtec? When we were ready to buy a Mirtec they asked if we needed more than normal clearance height. I do not know if this would be retrofitable but maybe you could ask. Jerry

Most, if not all, DFX guidelines are Equipment dependant. You can provide standard requirements in your DFX guidlines (edge clearance, component keep-out, height restrictions, etc...) along with an exceptions report for increased cost. just a though

This rule is very conservative depending on the epoxy you use and the subsequent handling of the board prior to reflow. You should use lead to pad contact area. Also be sure to look at part height and clearance on your flowsolder machine.

The camera is probably clipping the top of your board when it is reading fids. This causes the motor to lose steps. Manually load a board to vision height and drive the camera over the board to check for clearance issues.
