Complexity Index of PCB for characterising reflow profiles

Electronics Forum | Mon Aug 11 17:42:52 EDT 2003 | Kris

How can one go about defining the complexity of a PCB for characterizing reflow profiles A large balanced board may be easier to profile than smaller unbalanced board ? Any ideas how to define an index to calculate the complexity based on size, weig

if is regardless of fluxes or population complexity my opinion is that inline aqueous with kysen liquid or other is the best because this liquid wash all type of flux and the aqueous wash all population complexity

Hi Ricardo, You should complete the question with more details like : - kind of components pkgs (Chips, SO,TSOP,QFP,BGA,CSP,etc) and % of them versus the total (400) - tech complexity of components (0402 ? Finest Lead and ball Pitch ? SMT conne

It depends on the board complexity and the volume you needed. For standard PCB in prototype and small volume, suggest you http://www.pcbgogo.com/b. For complex board (e.g. HDI board), suggest you fastprint and Yuwei. All of them are in China. Hope i

Given your low component count, why are you considering the Fuji AIMEX over a Fuji NXT? I don't know the specifics of your product, but in general, the AIMEX is geared more for high mix/high complexity jobs and the NXT is more for low complexity, hig
