IPC Requirements for pad spacing reduction

Does the conductor spacing requirement in IPC-600G apply to pads? Does it include the nickel/gold finish or only the underlying copper?

Industry-Wide DFM Guideline - IPC, ANSI, etc?

Thanks Dave. Specifically, do you know what minimum conductor spacings are on 0.030" via holes - via-to-via?

Conductor Edge Spacing

I'm a bit confused about reading IPC-275 (I know I should have IPC-2221/2222) but I'm sure they are similar. Anyway, I am doing a: Military, less than 100V, non-conformal coated PCB, External Etch Sec 5.3.1.4 Edge Spacing.. (Pg 61) says use Tabl

Voltage does not flow. Current flows as a result of a change in voltage. Current capacity of traces * Graph is IPC-2221 paragraph 6.2, Figure 6.4 * http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaveral/Lab/9643/TraceWidth.htm

IPC Standard?

what IPC Standard do I need in designing RF Boards that pertains to PCB Layout, Conductor width and spacings, Trace thicknesses etc... thanks and best regards,

Can anyone help me on where to find reference for the above info other than IPC2221 as it is not covered by the said standard. I am looking for a proper trace spacing for my lightning protection circuit on my PCB for the following requirements: 750

Right!!!! We have built product with via holes only 0.010" off the edge of the routed edge or even routed them in half, which usually adds cost and shorts to the chassis. Most high speed routing has a tolerance of +- 0.005". It's common for UL fi

I believe that a conductor is a conductor regardless of type, so the surface finish counts. What are the pad spacings that you speak of?

Wave Solder Balls, VOC-Free Flux, and Glossy Mask

Electronics Forum | Tue Oct 03 18:41:16 EDT 2006 | C.K. Flip

With recent implementation of VOC-Free flux in our shop, we've experienced little solder fines/balls on the above combo of VOC-Free, Water Based, and glossy to semi-glossy mask finish on PCB's. The solder balls show up on close conductor spacings, ~
