We have PVA 350 benchtop dispensing equipement with humiseal 1A33 CC material. is there any moisture measurement process in conformal coating material?

Coatings to prevent water ingress

Do a search in the archives on conformal coating and silicone conformal coat. A variety of companies make conformal coatings and the equipment to apply it. Coatings can be applied by dipping the board into the coating, brushing it on, or spraying i

We have some experience in manual application of conformal coating using a brush that too for small circuits espceially on the soldered pads. We use Chase corporation's Humuseal 2A64. This passes high humidity tests. I am also in touch with Lackwere

I am looking for a machine to protect PCBs against moisture with varnish. It doesn't have to be very efficient, it seems that one for a desk is enough. What to look for? Is it worth looking for a used one? Best available in Europe.

Un-cured conformal coating

Electronics Forum | Fri Oct 29 09:08:21 EDT 2004 | davef

Electrochemical migration under conformal coating: That's possible. Very few conformal coatings are water resistant. So, if you have ionic material on your board, standback. Uncured material under several IC: Materials like yours need moisture fro

Is conformal coating necessary?

Electronics Forum | Thu Mar 08 01:19:16 EST 2001 | Mike Moninger

The environment essentially defines the need for coating. "Inside" may mean inside a men's locker room with attendant high humidity or inside a climate-controlled clean environment. Conformal coatings offer protection against moisture, fungus, chemi

UV cure conformal coating

There's some nice low-VOC uV coatings out there. We dont use uV cured coatings, but try: * http://www.emersoncuming.com * http://www.dymax.com * http://www.mgchemicals.com * http://www.loctite.com * http://www.humiseal.com Be aware that uV co

Hi The bubble shows only around component body after ir reflow. I think bubble means that there is a moisture. How do you dry the PCB(?) before IR reflow? Thanks Ju-young.

Hi Ju Yong, The PCB are dry in an airseal cabinet(Staging Chamber) before IR Oven. The bubbles show at around body and solder joint area. You mean the moisture will create bubbles ? Able to advice the humidity and temperature that you are using in

Hi sforman1, The chemical that i'm using is a solvent based coating humiseal 1B73. From my understanding, the UV curing is mainly for UV curable coating like the UV40. And the main advantage of using UV curing is for fast throughput and environment
