Has anyone heard whether the elevation of a plant can effect solder joint formation? One plant at sea level, one at 7,000 feet elevation... same equipment and profiles, big voiding defects at higher elevation. I did a search and found no similar post

We seem to have a lot of blowers going bad on our Omni 10 lately. We run PB free and/or elevated sn/pb profiles on a regular basis. I am starting to suspect that the elevated zone temps are causing the blowers to fail. Has anyone else had this prob

I am looking for a front elevation of an SMT assembly line beginning with screen printing and ending with AOI inspection. I have searched high and low for a photograph or an illustration representing this process. Can anyone help me?

Looks like we have been running the cure a little short (but only by about 44 min). I need to check if elevated temp shortens cure time to 1 min. at 700F! Thanks Dave, much appreciated Russ

Remember, the components' bodies are not going to like the elevated temperatures - you may want to trial a few before you expend too much effort on preforms.

That is about what I gathered as well grant, if the pb part can withstand the elevated temp of pbfree profile there are no issues Russ

If you kink the leads will you be able to insert it without flexing the board/moving any of the other components? Also these pin headers aren't always designed for this process so have you checked that it will take the elevated temperatures?

Does it fail to function or does it function outside of acceptable tolerances? If the latter I wouldn't know what to think, but if the former I would feel obligated to suspect solder quality or maybe even a component problem with the elevated lead-
