Hello! Does anyone know any PWB bitmuth finish suppliers? How thick layers are usually used? What pros and cons bismuth plating has in PWB applications? Teemu

We currently use HASL on all of our boards and I would like to move to something else. I have sampled some boards with Entek OSP and I loved it, the problem is we have plated mounting holes on just about every board we make. Does anyone have inform

Curiously... Shelf-life of the plating alternatives has been mentioned several times as a potential issue in these discussions. Tell me is there a market for a simple plastic packaging which could extend shelf life (and hence solderability) of these

As a manufacturer, I prefer plated nickel gold, electroless nickel immersion gold, immersion silver and palladium. These surface finishes are the best options to replace leaded surface finishes. These surface finishes can withstand higher temperature

Dear colleagues. Share your experience, please. Printed circuit boards with which finish surface do you prefer to mount? Which finish surface in your experience is preferable and why.

Thanks Dave, That answers my question. I didn't think either that the qty of gold in platings would be enough to contaminate the solder pot. I wanted to make sure that leach test is a valid test for gold finishes. Gopinath@mcl.com
