This is all very interesting. One obsticle I have to live with is I have an adhesive backing applied to the flex circuit before being placed on the pallet. Once gone through the reflow process the flex board goes through a couple of assembly stages a

Things to consider are: * Thermal expansion > characteristics of you flex and your pallet > should be better matched. We use G-10. * > Placement of your two sided tape should be > better, more uniformly distributed. We run strips > the length o

I cannot report having experience with 0201 printing applications on flex circuits. Generally, I would be concerned with handling of the flex substrate. A carefully designed vacuum capable custom tooling fixture would likely be required to ensure p

Hi, What would you consider significantly different about lead-free on flex circuits than tin-lead of flex circuits ? Have you published your experiances that you encountered while changing over to lead-free solder paste from a tin-lead paste ? T

Are there any guidelines when building products with flex circuits? Any heat profile guidelines? Wash Guidelines? Handling Guidelines. Is it best to run on the same line?

just out of curiousity, why the special nitrogen cabinet concerns for gold plated flex PCB? common "myth/fact" is gold is an "inert" coating layer that is not going to react with room environment conditions *that much?*. Am learning here, so would ap

Just take care about reflow profile with this kind of product, you can get a bad-formation in your PCB (Flexcable or your flexcircuit) however you want to call... This bad-formations looks like a solderballs (Microscopio) Regards Jesus

To answer the first post after my initial response we haven't published any of our lead free data since it is proprietary, sorry. As for the nitrogen cabinet it has been proven that over time the Gold plating can build up a layer of oxides that can

Jim, In a previous life, we built some flex circuits for a customer. The configuration was a flex cable, with a circuit at one end of it. We had fixtures made out of the same material that we had selective wave solder fixtures made from. Cut an i
