We do have BTU 150 Paragon. What the practical air setting for all 10 zones + 2 coolig zone. This setting is to manually adjust on machine front right botton side. ajay

Vapor phase versus forced convection

Electronics Forum | Mon Aug 16 11:36:23 EDT 2004 | soease

Hi everybody, now that lead-free is coming, I'm looking forward to change the oven we own in company I work for. Eternal question: what's the best oven technology on market. I allready know that we won't work with IR ovens, but I would like to have

Vapor phase versus forced convection

Electronics Forum | Mon Aug 16 11:58:29 EDT 2004 | Dreamsniper

I've worked with a Vapor Phase Oven a semi-automatic and a manual oven for evaluation. They worked fine and produce better grain of solder joints. The fluid that you need depends on the solder temperature that you require. I've used a 200'C fluid for

Vapor phase versus forced convection

Electronics Forum | Mon Aug 16 20:19:10 EDT 2004 | Grant

Hi, We have both Vapor Phase ASSCON semi auto as well as Soltec convection inline ovens. I must say we had no end of problems with Vapor Phase. We tried everything, and just could not totally eliminate tomb-stoning completely. We would always get a

led tilt reduction by reducing convection air speed in reflow oven

I agree with Evtimov. What he didn't point out is that the surface tension of the solder would vastly overwhelm any force from air flow.

Forced air drying after aqueous cleaning

Electronics Forum | Wed Nov 08 17:01:17 EST 2000 | pallen

I know there must be a specification for this but I don't know what it is. What is the maximum psi setting for an air line that is used to dry assemblies off an aqueous cleaner? The assemblies are fixed but predominately SMT with many 0602/QFP/BGA co

The style of US standards has been moving away from such specifications for some time. So, the approach has become ... Heres what I want ... Functioning, built to print, clean, undamaged boards. Heres how I want you to do it ... I dont care, jus

Reflow oven recommendation

Hi, The focal point of my research has been to recommend a reflow oven and develop a process for a small to low-medium production SMT soldering with the following considerations. - Lead-Free - Low to low-medium production - Forced Convection reflow

Grease filters work well. They're cheap, easy to clean and come in all sizes. Will not reduce your air flow by much either.
