I want to know the advantage of using complete inert soldering wave machine (with Nitrogen, Tunnel concept) in comparison to use just a soldering machine withe inerted solder pot. Thanks

yeah I’ve tried to go down the road of internal recycling but the company carnt justify spending 20k on a machine that does it. Ah but where still onto it in other places though our SMT department has very minimal wastage on solder paste as we have b

easier if you recycled on-site? You can still send off for reclaimation the oxide powder that your left at the end of the process. Failing that talk to your supplier to see if they have arrangements to do this for you or look at reducing dross - i f

Can anyone tell me what makes the wave solder machine lead free? I I am looking to buy a used machine "electrovert minipak 300" and they are claiming that they can convert the machine into lead free. I want to know what does involve to do this kind o

Lead-free means expensive tin. Tin is an excellent solvent. So, metal parts in contact with molten tin must be expensive enough to resist that nature of tin. To learn more about this: * Search the fine SMTnet Archives * Look here: "Liquid Tin Corrosi

Check flux penetration and type of flux. How much is solid contents. The solder filling is better under Nitrogen. Check the time (speed) of the nozzle whether is correct. Usually For SAC305 the temperature of bath is 320C/degrees, but only for sel

If you are saying you're going through 1kg/h while only producing 300 pcbs a week and the rest of the time the machine is standing still, then 1.there is something seriously wrong with your machine or 2. check if an operator is suddenly covered in sh

Joseph, What is the topside temp reading of your board before reaching the pot? Do you have top-heater in your wave machine? It sounds like; you got an insufficient per-heating issue.

We are starting a lead free line. My question: Is there a contamination issue with running lead free boards and lead boards after soldering through the same board wash machine? I would expect not it, but want to know if anyone has any experience with
