Idle gas mode

Electronics Forum | Thu May 20 02:46:01 EDT 2004 | Jo

Now I can use Idle gas mode but I want to set N2 Idle Time because it will work when the furnace empty instantly So, the question is How could I set N2 idle timer and pressure regulator ,

Nitrogen use in reflow and wave

Electronics Forum | Sat Apr 20 10:12:16 EDT 2002 | davef

If people use an inert gas, they use nitrogen for mass soldering. Inert gases get progressively more expensive as you move down the periodic table. Many times no-clean flux is less active than other flux types. So, people use an inert gas to lower

Dave: In terms of heat transfer, air is 78% nitrogen, and the remainder is mostly (20.9%) oxygen (roughly the same molecular weight as nitrogen), with a bit of argon (0.9%), CO2, hydrogen, monosodium glutamate etc. So you would expect virtually no d

Replacement for nitrogen in the reflow oven

Electronics Forum | Fri May 21 20:38:40 EDT 2004 | Grant Petty

Hi, This would be a very exciting idea. Nitrogen is an inert gas, so this is why it's used, however Hydrogen mixed with oxygen in normal air is highly explosive, so it would be one of the worst gasses to use in a reflow oven I would think. Remember

| Can anyone tell me any posible ways to help cut down on solder dross in an inert environment wave???? Any suggestions would be helpful. It depends on how the environment is inerted. Is it a hood, tunnel, or boundary (Electrovert Contour) system?

RF Shields

Electronics Forum | Mon Mar 12 18:20:07 EDT 2007 | davef

You should tell your customer that they're very nice people, but the purpose of RF shields is reduce RF emissions, not to be a air or gas tight enclosure. The requirements of hermeticity are wholly different than those of RF shielding. Do they want

Stencil Cutters

Don't forget the value of being able to blame everything from bridging, solder balls, tombstoneing , traffic jams, the price of gas, the demise of the american auto industry and everything else on your stencil supplier. That would now be you!
