Doesn't sound good. Is it only the connector that solders poorly? Tell us more about the solder, solder fracture, connector pins involved, and what not. Good any nice picture?

We have very good results with a mixture. Lower 1st and 2nd preheat is convection, 3rd lower is calrod. No upper 1st and 2nd, 3rd upper is IR. With this combination I have found no challenge that could not be turned into a good profile.

Check out Zephyrtronics, they have a low temp solder system that we use with very good results. http://www.zeph.com/lowmelt.htm Good Luck

Good Morning Vijay, It sounds like the PCB is getting too hot at rework. Is there any way to attach a thermocouple to check actual temps? This would give you an idea if it is your process or your PCB. Good Luck Chris

The manufacturer confirmed that it is humidity - the solder paste is too sensible to humidity. Now I tried Koki solder paste with good result. But, it does leave flux residue in good quantity. Does anyone have experience with Koki solder paste?

Hi John, It's a good machine for it's price as long as it passes the longevity test, & yes Altus are a very good sales & service company, but it's not the answer to world hunger. What machines did you replace with this, and what did you trial it

I've been storing some boards in my computers and equipment now for about 17 yrs with many different types of ambient conditions. Everything is still working. Keep finished goods in an ESD bag and dust them off once in awhile.
