I would to ask on what do you call on the color green contamination found on the soldered units. Whe i soldered some units after few days there was a color green on the wires. what do you call on this contamination?

The PCB green mask will become darker after few times IR reflow? What is the reason? Any acceptance spec refer to green mask requirement? Any method to measure the color level for PCB green mask? By naked eye or machine?

We call this the "orange stick test", but who's coloring? In preforming the test, you're supposed to use a light touch. Unfortunately, it's difficult to calibrate a "light touch." So, operators often end-up using too much force when probing or usi

I feared so. The only thing to be done is to tell the PCB manufacturer to increase the Thermal cure so dont set the oven to 150C but to 170C and actually measure the middle board and once it hits 155C then give it an hour cure from then. Also insist

We have some circuit boards where the solder mask seems clear instead of green on top of some of the tented via pads. No gold deposited during the ENiG process and no solder sticks to it but why is it clear and does it have any correlation to the thi

actually this is my little problem, i don't know about the material except that it comes in a paste form and it has to be diluted with acetone and it has a green color. i wish that the compounds used to make a solder mask aren't that numerous to be d

No, we not sure if your solder mask is LPI. The article we linked was aimed at solder mask application methods. LPI is the most common mask in use today. So, what kind is it? Green tells you nothing. Solder mask can be a variety of colors.

I did not change my mind, I just said that we sat down with the manufacturer and showed them the 3-4 different color PCBs for one product. They agreed that it is not acceptable... and supply us only from one of their sites. (the different manufacturi
