Conceptronics oven reflow problems

Unless your machine (internal) thermocouples are each calibrated and compensated no two machines will deliver eactly the same results. Here are your challenges: 1. Data acquisition equipment A-D converter errors 2. PCB measurement thermocouple (t

Looking for trays to lay boards on in reflow oven

If the board is just not reaching the temps you need, you could place them in an oven to "preheat" them. When I was building a rather thick board with a copper core I had to do this. Since we were only doing small runs it was feasible, I don't know y

Thank you Clare. After doing some more research, I found they are known in the industry as "Carriers". I did look into that durostone material. They prices are beyond reasonable. My trek now is seeking a material to make planks out of to lay the b

In our reflow oven it has pins which move at the predetermined speed to move the pcb through the various zones in the oven. The forward row of pins is fixed along the front of the oven. The rear set of pins is adjustable per the width of the pcb. We

Reflow Profiling for Duel Line oven

Electronics Forum | Tue Mar 07 09:21:28 EST 2017 | buckcho

Hello, it is similar to the normal ones. You just have to collect 2 thermo profiles for each side and decide in the middle, so all your component heat requirements are met. Sometime it is very hard if the panel has a big variation in components.

Good Profiler for reflow ovens

Electronics Forum | Mon Aug 16 20:22:54 EDT 2004 | Grant

Hi, Thanks for the info! In the software can you add solder paste specs and heat sensitive components and see where the profile sits against these fast? Measurement is the easiest part I think, but what I thinks harder is good software to analyze th

Industry Standards for distance of PCB's in reflow oven???

Electronics Forum | Sun Nov 20 01:27:21 EST 2005 | C. Kolokoy

Try an experiment where you profile the assembly with 3 consecutive boards in the oven spaced just 1" apart versus just 6" apart and then 12" apart. You figure most ovens have about 12 - 16" heating zones, so for your typical 8"x8" PCB, you'd have w

Re: Looking for input on Heller 1900WN reflow ovens

hi glenn i have had nothing but good experiences with Heller. As far as i have seen they have very even heat characteristics, great profiling and overall low maintenance. I am very happy with heller and they are my oven of choice right now.. greg

reworking brds by flowing the board thru' oven for the 3rd times

Another consideration is that heat damage is accumulative. If you have temperature sensitive components, that third reflow may be bringing them close to their failure point.
