Dear all, We have a PCB design mistake that causes exposed copper layers on the edges of breakaway locations. Although we fixed the design, but we already made a lot of boards plus many made before we found the problem. I wonder if any one have some

Thanks a lot , my application is cryogenic in nature. I am trying to make a Sub-Angstrom resolution Thermal expansion sensor, whose components have been machined out of OHFC copper, and i needed to solder a manganin wire to one of the capcitor plates

Nichrome, manganin, phosphor bronze etc are easy to solder ... the hard part is removing the corrosion * Manganin: 86% copper, 12% manganese, 2% nickel. Often, it's used in making cryogenic measurements, due to its low heat loss. * Select a flux for

Hi Experts, I need help here, advice appreciated from all... Production is running a Lot of flex-circuit PCB, through the SMT line, with 0402 components. The flex-PCB is taped to FR4 support "pallets" when processing thru' the SMT P&P m/c. We use

Tmo, Thanks for your reply. It gives good advise about how to perform tests. The type of strain gauges that I want to design are inside the PCB at various layers and I want to read the data during the press step. Do you know if these prefabricated

Interesting. How did you connect the gauges in the press? Our press only has connections for thermocouples. But in essence, it's only a wire and an electical output. If you placed these prefabricated gauges on top and on the bottom surface, weren't

I always made tests with gauges on top or bottom surface of the PCB, before, during and after the process that we wanted to check. But I never tried to do it on internal layers of PCB. Don't know if that is possible. Regards
