Seeing this graphic has me rethinking solder paste jetting as alternative to stencil printing. It seems it's only 2-3x faster 80k points per hour vs 28k. Wouldn't it be better to get 10 time pressure dispensers vs 1 solder jet?

Jet printing can reach 80um, whereas contact dispensing is 0.3mm I believe. 0402 pads are 0.6x0.5mm.

What I would ask before actually answering your question is, what is the smallest footprint/pad which can be pressure dispensed/jet printed? Regards, Tom.

And I can set deposits down to 34 um on our my500. I do not have the exact numbers in front of me on the my700 or Essemtec, but they will both be better than that.

The my700 can dispense 1 million dots per hour. It's not an exaggeration either. It literally never stops moving, and is dispensing without contacting the board. It uses the same type of mathematical calculations that a plane dropping a bomb uses in

Hi Hearse, I currently use a MY600, with a AG Ejector which can place dots between 0.33 and 0.52 mm. The differences for a MY600 with placing small dots is down to ejector and paste. To be able to place dots as small as 0.25 mm, you would need an

If you are just prototyping, I would probably go with the Jet printer(I think the paste cartridges are very expensive). If you have some casual runs I would use a stencil printer. Actually I would like to have them both - tweak the paste amount with

I knew jet printers where slower but I not that much slower. Right now I have a old Speedline Tech that Im looking to replace. Since Im new to this industry, Im cloudy on which companies make a good quality machine. I have a mydata pick and place, s
