Which encoder did you replace? The one sitting on top of the midas shaft and below the small board or the one attached t the motor next to it? I don't even know if the first one is an encoder.

Dear Rob, Thank you for your quick response! There were Z locks on the Midas head area, 2 little solenoids like you mentioned. Previously I had the first error code (F-AXIS-C/9) and after fiddling around, randomly manual unlock the Z locks it came

Hey everyone, We use a MyData MY12 machine and we are experiencing a problem with the Midas head. I recently replaced a torn vacuum tube that goes on the zfib card. The machine worked perfectly for a day and a half but now MY12 has completely stoppe

I would check the following: 1. Make sure the head can move in all axis including z and theta by physically moving each. 2. Check the voltage from the main power supply which is located in the middle of the machine on the top of the main board asse

I forgot to mention that I've measured and adjusted the cog play on the x axis and so it is within range, if that applies.

I am assuming you are initializing each motor individually through the service program. The z motor theta is hard to see so I put a mark on it with a colored marker so you can watch if the midas tool nozzle is actually turning or not. You should be a

Hi all, We were able to fix the issue. We replaced the MOT cards with the MOT cards in the good machine. That, however, did not resolve the issue. The issue was very basic; one of the fuses (fi fuse) located to the left of the MOT cards became open.

Bruce, Since we had spares, I replaced the X wagon cables, XFMB cable, nothing. FFX Cable, nothing. Swapped mot cards, nothing. Vaccum seal, nothing. At this point I truly believe the problem is either on the theta encoder or the theta motor. Unfortu

I can't remember what motor control cards in the machine are interchangeable, but if the controller card for the theta axis is a common control card then you can swap out the one currently controlling the theta axis with a different axis and see if t
