I forgot to update this. Customer insisted on reflowing SIM card directly to PCB, as per their previous CEM. It worked. No deformation of the SIM card - assembly works - records data to SIM card. Note that using hot air reflow type (rework station)d

Good afternoon. Not sure if this is available at an engineer level. Perhaps and SD card with field service access is necessary. We have two lines with NPM-W's and the most we've been able to do is actuate vacuum on the heads during flow checks.

And this process is using a kind of ceramic jigs..... Does this jig absorb much heat that does not dissipate enough heat to the SD card pins ? Thanks

HI guys, Problem solved.....reason is the SD card's location in on the fixed side of the reflow oven,i believe there is not much convection heat blown towards the component.... Pleased to hear if any rgds

A couple things to look at.. Are you using Pb-Free solder? What are the leads of the SD Connector tinned with? Do you have a thermal profiler to use to verify your oven profile? (If not, you may be able to ask a Sales Rep to come in and assist y
