We are unfamiliar with yellow penetrant. Red is common, as you say. There are couple of green penetrants out there. Some red penetrants contain yeasts [eg, Calcofluor Yellow, Azosol Brilliant Yellow 6GF, etc] that fluorese yellow, but that's not what

James, Have you considered going to a No-clean process? BGA's can be difficult to impossible to clean using an aqueous process. The water just won't penetrate under the entire BGA and efficiantly remove your flux residues. The tighter the pitch

Just because Im not currently ranting about nuking Kabul, Tehran, Baghdad, and Algiers or laying a coat of jellied gasoline on those little punks celebrating with their candy in Palistine; that doesnt mean my shock and grief will not turn to anger.

Dave, we're about to publish a paper in Advanced Packaging mag. on the use of dye penetrant testing. Educate me on how to enclose the paper on this web site and I'll be glad to let everyone review it.

Well I would think that the heat slug would work to a point. Obviously made to dissipate heat from the component. That said it wouldn't hurt to cover that also with aluminum foil. Your not wrapping a present, your simply tenting the component. IR wil
