In the U.S. you cannot buy Yamaha machines. Assembleon (previously Phillips) exclusively markets Yamaha machines in the U.S. and names the machines after rocks. I think the YV100 is sold as either the Topaz or Sapphire by Assembleon.

The optimiser stinks, do it yourself. I doubt if Phillips will support these machines anymore as that has been my experience with Yamaha - sorry san - too old.

To the best of my knowledge from some fellow field guys who used to work for Phillips, yes. Yamaha still makes the machines for Assembleon's GEM line.
