The best is, create 2 different profiles for each PCB type. Then segregate or separate them and do not let them run together in one line. Switch to the proper profile settings each time you change to other PCB type. This is the best. Each PCB materia

Snehal, Look at the spec sheet for the paper phenoline PCB. Look at the max temp. If it is at or lower than 183 degrees C, here lies the problem. If it will withstand higher temps at a shorter durration, you can possibly speed up the belt but like D

Hi Davef & C Lampron. Thanks for your reply. since i'm using RMA9086 62/36/2 Cookson no clean flux paste.so what do you think if i will switch on to the paste without no clean flux for PP board is there be any chance that i get a +ve result. Awaiting

Hi to all, I'm facing a soldering problem with one of my series of Product, since we were using a two different kind of PCB 1.GE(Glass Epoxy)2.PP(paper phenoline) in later PCB if i will use the same profile of the GE then it will get backed more & i

Increase/decrease of the SMT reflow preheat

SMT Experts, Hi, I have a pondering issue, which is : Our current specified Reflow preheat timing is a necessary 100~140sec for the ranges of 100~170Deg-C....obtained timing is 77sec... out of curiousity, if we further fine tune the obtained reflo

How can one go about defining the complexity of a PCB for characterizing reflow profiles A large balanced board may be easier to profile than smaller unbalanced board ? Any ideas how to define an index to calculate the complexity based on size, weig

Take a look at the product here: http://www.kicthermal.com/products/KIC-Auto-Focus.pdf KIC uses a previously profiled product library to calculate in spec reflow profiles for new products. Just enter you dimensions and if finds a solution for you.

maximum number of reflow cycles for rigid PCB?

To do a profile at most companies, if you don't have a scrap board handy, you'll use the already-soldered board that's already been through ONE reflow cycle. You spend time attaching T/C's with the aluminum tape - after all, the prep-work is half th

The pads in the datasheet should suffice. The TDK part really isn't all that big but its reflow profile indicates it is not exactly the most tolerant device with regards to heat. 245C for 5s is not a lot, I would check very carefully that your profil
