Just to add my 2 cents on the adjustment of pitch on MPA feeders: True: Panasonic do not make it easy to change the pitch on MPA feeders, the thickness of a metal part is what sets the pitch. My solution: for example, I get a 24mm X 12mm pitch MPA

I assume that you are referring to the same kind of mechanical feeders (older type) that are used on the Philips (Assemblon) Topaz as well. First make sure that the right gear pulley spring is set to its stiffest position (the loop at the end of the

Interesting. If all 52 of them fail, you need to change one special part that is controlling the air cylinders, I forgot the name, it was long time ago I used the machine. I there a possibility to test them on other machine, maybe some other company?

A typical machine will have around 100 feeder slots. Manufacturers use the slots differently though, use 8mm feeder counts as your basis. Siemens, for example has 40 slots but you can get 2 (or 3) 8mm's per slot giving you 80+ 8mm feeders, while a Sa

The feeders on the CSM84 actually feed the tapes forward by the force of a spring. On the 8mm and 12mm feeders the spring is loaded directly by the force of the push rod on the placement head. With the larger tapes like 16mm and 24mm, a stronger sp

You could try changing the SMC pneumatic cylinder? We had a few that needed them replaced, we would get a pick error from them and the part would not be presented in the tape pocket (as if the tape doesn't push far enough to click over the ratchet s

Darby, I'm not completely sure I understand. Juki machines have what is referred to as a multi-head. The offsets between the heads are the same as the spacing between 8mm feeders. So the (6) heads all come down at once and "gang pick" from 6 8mm fee

I'm not sure it would explain your feed issue, but the main thing that we have found to cause problems is the two nylon gears that pull the tape. The teeth get bent, and they don't mesh together as well, causing the tape to not pull correctly. Or t
