Hi Spoiltforchoice, it depends on what you pay for the printers new, but last time I looked there wasn't much difference in price between the DEKs and the Speedprint if you were buying multiple units. Remember there is huge markups on SMT kit. From

i would look at an SPM from MPM(speedline) or an SP200 from Europlacer (speedprint not speedline) We have used both of these machines with great success from 16mil pitch qfps to .5mm pitch uBGAs.

Hmmm, what makes the Speedprint merely average? On paper at least they seem to spec a pretty decent machine, I've seen one mid-build in their factory, that looked pretty decent too. I haven't watched one in action tho'.
