I am looking for some guidelines on evaluating solder paste. I am specifically interested in No-Clean Pastes, as they are a completely new ball game when it comes to slump, tack time, stencil life, tack time, etc. Thanks for any and all help given

Sal, Interesting problem, I have found that W.S. pastes tend to have a shorter tack time in real life than what is advertised. Usually the manufacturers specify tack time as after placement let the board sit and then turn it upside down and see if

Russ, I use the R562, it has a longer tack time then the Hm531 and have found no problems with voiding on my BGAs. You may want to evaluate this formula also Larry
