Has anyone had a problem with the trailer tape length being too short and causing placement machine to stop for parts exhaust (SMT parts)? I realize the EIA spec. is set for this length but would like to know what issues you have had. Thanks

Are the voids in the balls of a BGA? Are you verifying this through x-ray if they are? some voids depending on size and location are some what accepted. Solder paste type? Solder paste date code? Humidity high? PCB's been stored in a truck trailer?

I have tried cover tape extenders from a multitude of sources and they all seem to be made of the same plastic. I think your best solution might be to splice on carrier tape extenders instead, these can come with conventional cover tape already fitte
