Hello, in my SMT process I have some problems with the solderability (look like dewetting) on a PCB with finish HASL Lead Free with a composition that is melt at 230 degree Celsius. My oven is with vapor phase and the peak temperature is 230 degre

You're creating a new alloy on the surface of your board. The alloy will have a melting point determined by the constituent metals of the alloy. Your alloy consists of: * Lead-free HASL solderability protection on the board * Lead-free solder paste *

BGAs and vapor phase

Perhaps a little hard to find but is there anyone who uses a vapor phase process to solder populated card with BGAs. I am interested in the success rate of such a process. It is obvious that the throughput is reduce vs a convection oven but still thi

Preheating is critical in Vapor Phase Soldering. One trick that is done is to use the "soft vapor" area just above the soldering vapor, some machines can pause just before going into the soldering vapor. Using that pause above the vapor to continue

vapor phase reflow

Hello, I am new to the SMT area and I need to know what a "good" vapor phase reflow profile should look like. The fluids we are using have a BP of 45 C and 219 C. Thanks,

Vapor phase soldering systems by Asscon are characterized by special designed heating modules. The thermal mass of the heating modules is designed so that a completely delay-less and direct regulation of the heat/flow/energy transfer to the soldering

You wouldn't have a very good profile if you went straight from room temp to vapor temp (_-). The chamber should preheat the board before using vapor to melt the solder.

hi all, i have purchased an used vapor phase and i can't make a constant profile. the profiles depend on the time i wait between two batch... the only difference that i include is the chamber temperature i don't understand why the chamber temperat
