I work for a CEM. We are having some quality issues with some pcb's that came from China. (I know, big surprise) Can anyone with pcb manufacturing experience look at some pictures I have and give me an opinion as to what could go wrong in the pcb man

I was unaware of any Pb-Free process capable FR-1 laminate... not to mention capable of Though Hole plating that would be expected when wave soldering. What is the Td and Z-expansion for the laminate you are using?

Make sure you are providing an adequate moisture bake out prior to wave soldering. It sounds moisture related since is so random. I would suggest perhaps 120C for a minimum of 8 hours to drive the moisture out, and then complete your wave soldering

We recently experienced a problem w/voids (up to 65%) in uBGA solder joints. The only joints that have the problem correlated to pads which had blind 0.006" via's in them. The via's only extend down 2 layers, of the 18. 21 BGA's on the PCB, only expe

Aluminum shreds were found inside the tooling hole after depaneling. We ruled out contamination because the tooling holes were covered during depaneling. Out of three holes, only 2 holes with positioning columns inside have aluminum shreds residue.

Hi, We are thinking about starting to use via in Pad, for both BGA and 0402 and 0201 components. Does anyone know how this would effect production. Obviously PCB production is not difficult, but this should only effect production and assembly. R
