We are looking at implimenting a bar code system for a SMT production line. To start we are looking at label printer/applicators. Are there any other companies that we should consider besides Zebra and Imtec?? Thanks for your input. John

We use Zebra 2824 for small labels. It's a decent printer and we have been using this style for years. I don't know anything about Brady, but they might be worth looking into.

We have an up coming job that has conductive ink deposits on the solder side of the PCB for contact switches and a zebra strip that connects to an LCD display. My question is... Do these need to be masked to protect them from the wave solder process

I feel your pain. Your company may already be using Kapton tape labels for their board serial numbers labels. Kapton is able to withstand repeated wash and heat cycles, and can be printed on a typical Zebra printer. The key to a successful and accura
