:22amHi,It is still common to represent this as an optional 0 Ohm resistor and many designs still use a 0-Ohm SMD link; you just have to remember to use the right footprint for the artwork if you want to use a solder bridge

(always had PADS before and did an export from there and then into Altium). However I am no longer able to use PADS as a "middle man" so I will be going directly to Altium

; I've worked at about 6 companies in my life, and only one of them used this standard. All the others use a "home grown" standard. It would be nice to see a new published standard, but I don't think anyone would rebuild their libraries to use it.

? Posted: 13 Feb 2017 at 2:55pm Does anyone have experience generating good (or bad!) footprints for solderable jumpers? I'm looking to configure a circuit board with something like this: Or this

:24pmThanks for the Excel spreadsheet! (I don't use PADS but the spreadsheet used as a standalone tool has been helpful). If anyone is interested using IPC-2152 for working out PCB track current capability
qualified to use the IPC-J-STD-001 standard to ensure quality in their own work. This program DOES NOT teach how to solder. What is the difference between the IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001? The IPC-A-610
