e-Supply Chain Management: Prerequisites To Success.

Technical Library | 2001-05-23 16:15:54.0

The supply chain is made up of all the activities that are required to deliver products to the customer - from designing product to receiving orders, procuring materials, marketing, manufacturing, logistics, customer service, receiving payment and so on. Anyone, anything, anywhere that influences a product’s time-to-market, price, quality, information exchange, delivery, among other activities is part of the supply chain.

A-Laser enters the aerospace world with laser cutting services that continue to exceed performance expectations. The modern aerospace industry has strict tolerance requirements and A-Laser is prepared to meet those needs. For example, modern aerospace design dictates anywhere from dozens to millions of precise holes and channels. These must vary in thickness, diameters, and geometries. A-Laser is prepared to meet these requirements and we do so with faster, more versatile, more consistent and cost-effective tools.

How to choose the material of PCB ?

Technical Library | 2019-12-30 02:09:39.0

How to choose the material of PCB ? The choice of PCB material must meet the design requirements, the quality of production and cost need to achieve a balance. The design requirements include electrical and institutional parts. This material problem is usually important when designing very high speed PCB boards (frequencies greater than GHz). For example, the commonly used FR-4 material may not be used when dielectric loss at several GHz frequencies, which can have a significant effect on signal attenuation . In the case of electrical, it is important to note whether the dielectric constant and the dielectric loss are combined at the designed frequency

Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Technology for Electrochemical Sensors and Sensing Platforms

Technical Library | 2021-02-17 22:13:39.0

The development of various biosensors has revolutionized the healthcare industry by providing rapid and reliable detection capability. Printed circuit board (PCB) technology has a well-established industry widely available around the world. In addition to electronics, this technology has been utilized to fabricate electrical parts, including electrodes for different biological and chemical sensors. High reproducibility achieved through long-lasting standard processes and low-cost resulting from an abundance of competitive manufacturing services makes this fabrication method a prime candidate for patterning electrodes and electrical parts of biosensors. The adoption of this approach in the fabrication of sensing platforms facilitates the integration of electronics and microfluidics with biosensors. In this review paper, the underlying principles and advances of printed board circuit technology are discussed. In addition, an overview of recent advancements in the development of PCB-based biosensors is provided. Finally, the challenges and outlook of PCB-based sensors are elaborated. doi:10.3390/bios10110159

Microelectronics Reliability: Physics-of-Failure Based Modeling and Lifetime Evaluation

Technical Library | 2024-04-22 20:16:01.0

The solid-state electronics industry faces relentless pressure to improve performance, increase functionality, decrease costs, and reduce design and development time. As a result, device feature sizes are now in the nanometer scale range and design life cycles have decreased to fewer than five years. Until recently, semiconductor device lifetimes could be measured in decades, which was essentially infinite with respect to their required service lives. It was, therefore, not critical to quantify the device lifetimes exactly, or even to understand them completely. For avionics, medical, military, and even telecommunications applications, it was reasonable to assume that all devices would have constant and relatively low failure rates throughout the life of the system; this assumption was built into the design, as well as reliability and safety analysis processes.
