Pritchard Hall of Fame Award at IPC APEX EXPO on Tuesday, January 25. During his State of the Union address tonight, U.S. President Joe Biden is expected to urge Congress to pass much-needed funding for semiconductor manufacturing and other advanced technologies as part of a new competitiveness measure. Both the House- and Senate-passed bills include $52 billion in funding as well as additional measures to boost American R&D, which will help reestablish the United States as a global leader in building the technologies of the future. IPC applauds President Biden's continued focus on the semiconductor shortage and his ongoing efforts with Congress to finalize the "USICA/America COMPETES" legislation.

IPC presented its highest corporate honors to two IPC member companies, Apple Inc., and MacDermid Alpha Electronic Solutions during the IPC Annual Meeting/Awards Ceremony at IPC APEX EXPO 2022. Three IPC volunteers who have fostered a collaborative spirit, made significant contributions to standards development, and have consistently demonstrated a commitment to global standardization efforts, were presented with Dieter Bergman IPC Fellowship awards at IPC APEX EXPO 2022. Bev Christian, Doug Pauls, and Jose Servin were chosen as award recipients because they embody the work ethic and spirit of the late Dieter Bergman, a pioneer and industry icon. They will bestow Dieter Bergman Memorial Scholarship awards on the university or college of their choice.
