Low Cost Nibbler for Singulating Tab Routed Boards

Industry News | 2017-01-25 16:39:34.0

Singulating tab routed printed circuit cards in low to medium volume production quantities is safe and easy with the N100 Nibbler from FKN Systek. Blades are available in standard thicknesses of .120”, .093” and .062”. Custom sizes to match the width of the routed section can be ground. Tabs are cut cleanly on each side so that no further clean up is required to remove excess material, as is often the case when using hand tools or when breaking the panels manually. In addition, since only one tab is cut at a time, minimal stress is imparted to the board during the process as the panel is not pressed between two points during the cut.

Pneumatic Nibbler for singulating multiple tabs of a tab Routed PCB

Industry News | 2022-02-17 12:52:30.0

Cleanly and easily separate a row of up to 10 tabs without dust. Singulating tab routed printed circuit cards in low to medium volume production quantities is safe and easy with the N115 Nibbler from FKN Systek. Two sharp support blades on either side of the tab help cleanly slice the PCBs from the tabs.

Contactors

Industry News | 2021-05-20 06:06:50.0

Turning large electrical power loads such as motors, lighting and heaters on and off is a common automation requirement. Applications are found in commercial buildings, industrial equipment and vehicles. The fundamental device for switching electrical power is called a contactor. Contactors are basically beefed-up relays, but with some specialized features for handling high power loads.

Knowledge about PCB Panelization

Industry News | 2019-11-05 22:24:42.0

Designing a PCB for automatic assembly and full production runs requires a few design changes from an initial prototype PCB run. Today most PCBs are assembled and tested with automated machines from the data from PCB drawing files. With up to 80% of a new product's cost determined by the first prototype build, avoiding late changes and designing with manufacturing in mind can have a significant impact on the product cost, reliability, and yield of a PCB design. Luckily, if some good choices are made early in the design process, designing a PCB for manufacturing is relatively straight forward with few pitfalls.
