We have to perform a wire modification on a PCB. I am looking for a wire where the insulationmaterial does not shrink or melt when soldered.

I'd like to know what advantages are there to use silver emerge PCB's. Currently we are using HASL boards, and we are having problems especially using BGA connectors. Any help will be appreciated. Adam.

Both are excellent suggestions. I'll look into why the 1999 post appeared at the top. The other suggestions will be handled in a future revision. Keep the feedback coming!

I'm interested to know the guide line , or standard or evaluation methode of how many total parts per board allow to be changed and how many times a single location can be changed. Any other refinements you might have are of interest as well.

Herb: Try oversizing your stencil fiducial openings to maybe twice the size of the board fiducial. When aligning manually, look for uniformity in the annular ring which appears around the fiducial. Hope this helps.....

The search function will go back about a year or so on the forum. The project to get the rest of the achives back online had been sidetracked but is now on the project roster and should be completed in the next few weeks.
