Has anyone been involved in SMT placement equipment capability studies? I was wondering if anyone has procured used equipment and performed capability studies on the equipment and received quality and cost benefits from the resulting data. They

Hello, we use DataPAQ 6 slots - but after tech guys finally killed their profiler on wave its theirs now last year we used SolderStar neptune, 3-9 slots, but it is too easy to destroy it (4 times in repair...) so finally I started to use SlimKIC 2

We have a Kic 2000 9 channel. The options for this unit were 9 or 12. I do not remember what we paid for it but the Kic Navigator and its prediction capabilities really reduce required profile time. I have also used Datapak and Mole but not for year

Having been around the block, an old lead head from way back, I've used MOLE, KIC,and Datapaq. They all do the same thing, but I'd have to give the edge to KIC. 9 ports and automatic wave detection. Also, KIC2000 is as user friendly as you can get

Hi, we have 4 DEK 265 infinity, all with blue underscreen cleaner (with paper rolls), it doesn't make miracles :) but if you have good solvant system (not too much - you flood the paper and not too small) then works OK on some of our DEKs (y 2000) t

It does exist. We used to have one here, but sold it. It was more of a manual process though. You put the assembled board on the work table and then set your cutting blade height. Then you manually moved the cutting blade around shearing off the TH l

Steve, KIC does. The new KIC2000 has built in dwell time sensors. You can buy KIC's wavesurfer option (like MOLE's waverider), or you can engineer a custom pallet for 1/3 the price. I made a custom pallet and took advantage of the KIC's automatic

Charlie, Anything would be better than using a benchtop printer. We currently run all DEK printers at the moment which are fine, but I've recently been looking into alternatives to the DEK and have been very impressed by the Excerra printer not only

Consider an Excerra printer. I currently use DEK printers, but also have a lot of experience with MPM printers too. 2nd user I wouldn't look beyond UP2000 or DEK Infinity. But I've also demo'd the Excerra recently and was very impressed, price isn't
