Running the BGA first is OK. We run double sided BGA baords all the time without problem.

As already stated one side. Also if at all possible change the through hole components to SMT. It is much cheaper to assemble SMT than through hole. Jerry

We've got away with 90C before, however at 120C they tend to bananna and it isn't easy to remove all of the product then, and some of the legs get damaged (we always received waffle packs then one day tubes arrived & the operator baked as usual....).

How many times can you safely run a board across the wave solder? We have an unwritten rule here saying that twice is all that we can do. But it has been an unwritten rule for so long that no one knows where it orginated. Thanks for your imput.

Thanks to all for the input I will try the preheating the "blank" out of it too. the preforming Idea I had wasn't the problem. I'll slow down conveyor speed and increase the preheater temp.

the problem must have been the ground plane like you were saying because I increased the preheater temp, slowed down the conveyor speed and they started looking better. Thanks to all for the input, especially davef. Thanks again
