Is anyone using .062 aluminum circuit boards with copper conductors in your production lines? What kind of reflow profile is required? What special considerations are there to be looking for? I am asking for any information you can give me. Thanks

We used to do this kind of stuff in vapor, but do none now [although the imagination doesnt have to turn too much to envision doing it again]. Start here: * http://www.bergquistcompany.com * http://www.gouldelectronics.com

warp and twist

I have been asked a very good question but have not been able to find a good answer. IPC for both PCB and PCBA refer to the X & Y dimensions to measure warp and twist but how would you determine the warp and twist for a round PCB or PCBA?

I wouldn't raise the temps just slow the conveyor, You need to get the PCB "soaked in". It seems as if you are applying more thermal energy than the PCB can accept in all areas. Does this oven have convection heating? Hopefully so. I have found t

Thanks Mr.Dave. Sorry for the delay. One of our major prolems in ENIG plated surface is that wire does not stick. For many years we were getting a bond strength of 14 grams in both ENIG and electroplated surfaces. Now one vendor supplies ENIG boards

metal core/clad pcb

Anyone work with or have knowledge about metal core/clad boards? The board I'm working with is approximately 2" X 3/4" aluminum core pcb, in a 56 up array. There are 3 LED placements per board. I'm having trouble getting a consistent screen print.

Hi mates, has anyone ever done a DoE on the degree of warp PCB, after a SMT Reflow process? what were the findings and conclusion based on such a DoE? which were the critical (DoE) factors that influence the degree of warp PCB? any optimal reflow se

Hi Dave F, customer calls it "warp", we can call it "twist/bow"..etc. the "warp" occurs on individual PCB cells of 28per each panel. the overall dimension of the panel is 139mm x 168mm, and each individual PCB cell is 2.4mm x 1.2mm. Thickness is 0.
