Having only just started to deal with BGA packages, I was wondering if anyone could advise me on possible aperture reductions when screen-printing boards for BGA placement

We don�t distinguish between BGA, finepitch or other parts; they all get the same aperture reduction of 15% which is determined by the finepitch process. We use only PBGAs with eutectic balls. Wolfgang

I have used a 15 to 20 % reduction on PBGAs to reduce the possibility of shorting. On CBGAs and CCGAs I use a One to One aperture.

I recommend you to test at least 2 other vendors for the diode; you can find that the problem is diode manufacturing, or else, you will find out that you have a proccess problem for sure. There is no use to start investigating your proccess before y
