I have seen it all. from OEM that has 12 assemblies and the setup is always on the machine to a 5-6 setups a day in a CM environment with small quantities.

Thanks Mac! I have been doing a lot of reading and I think I understand me challenge ahead of me. I do however have a double sided assembly and the BGA's are on the second side. So I know I have to make this a quick build…. June

We had this. The anti-backlash nuts were binding. We took them apart, chased the threads with a tap and re-assembled with slightly less pre-load. Hasn't been a problem since.

I've always assembled those style connectors by hand. They require paste on both sides, correct? With that variable, I've never considered trying to do them with paste/reflow. Cheers, ..rob
