Yes, they should be baked prior. We pre-bake all polyimide fabs, flex or not. They are prone to delam.

Were doing double sided, and I'm told our PCB finish is tin silver. From a quick search I'm finding that for double sided assemblies we would be better off using ENIG.

We aren't able to quote you chapter and verse, but J-001 says that you have to verify the solderability of parts prior to assembly.

Yes, we use solder paste,solder bar and solder wire from different manufactureres for 1PCB assembly. And, what JAX said, we never mixed solder paste from different manufactures and used.

Tell your customer that you need five extra assemblies so that you can do a good job of designing process to ensure that they don't receive poo boards.
