Yes, but even high force probes are not a cure-all. You still get flux build-up over time which can cause contact issues. The best way is to use a low residue flux in the wave to minimize what's left on the pcb post-wave.

If looks were the measure, we'd say, "Hail yes, it looks like black pad." The determination of black pad or not is best done in a laboratory.

We use a 40mil circle with the solder mask backed off another 40 mils (120mil circle) beyond that. Works good for us but not sure if that is an industry standard or not.
