We bought 2 1995 used board loaders (great deal)- they don't work, and Process Control Tech. is out of business. We have no manuals or schematics. Does anyone know where we can get them or lend us them or fax them to us?

Thanks Pete, yes, we have built up some inventory, the boards have been around for sometime. So are you saying if we run the omega test, we'll be able to contain or detect the problem boards?

In terms of an outgoing QC measurement does anyone have some guidance? If ppm defect rates are established is it per board or per solder joint? We are a contract manufacturter trying to establish such a measurements without having to cover old ground

We saw this quite a bit, I want to say 5 or 6 years ago, but it's probably more like 10 years ago. It's caused by poor solder mask crue. Talk to your board fabricator about solutions.
