Does your board passes also through the wave solder step ? If, yes, it could be a matter of secondary reflow on BGA ball solder joints. Best Regards....GS

i would say that if you are doing localized heating than you will be okay, A socket is just a socket and cannot be degraded electrically anyway. Russ

What kind of material is Durastone? The only I could find on Google is a stone used for tiles, but probably you are referring to another material. I hope it is not extracted from the same mines of Baohodium ;-) Regards, Olas

test at the bare board level consists of opens and shorts. It makes sure that all traces are hooked (connected) up to the appropriate place and they are not shorted to a non common conductor. Russ

Does any one know how far left or right from center the aperatures can be? If I had a 6" board, and a stencil with cut-outs for both sides right and left of center, would I have problems?

So what are your current drying parameters? can you adjust temp and time? is this a batch cleaner that may have some shadowing from the way it is loaded causing hot air to not hit certain boards? Russ
