Possible cause is the Middle Loading Sensor. Check the ML flag. Also, this problem occurs when the z-axis base slips. Need to level the base and re-calibrate z-axis origin.

Exactly. And now a day, we are sourcing quite a number of alternative component. (e.g. IC, capacitor...) Template matching may took long time to calibrate the variances too. Desperate to look for cyberoptics representative to have a presentation

Have you performed the camera to nozzle calibration ? I can send you instructions for this if you need them.

Also... this is ONLY a pick issue? No issues with placement for those that you do successfully pick? Have the spindles been calibrated lately?

If your parts are placing correctly you should be fine as far as calibration. As with all pick & place machines they need greased and filters changed. The maintenance should be in the manual. You can call dynatech they should be able to help you out.

Third, if component placement is off, fix the machine (i.e. calibrate, check cleanliness of lenses and sensors, damaged nozzle) and not the CAD locations.

Fourth, if groups of components are off, but all others are on, check for either calibration (one head only) or a damaged nozzle (or similar items).

You should also have a backup calibration file to reinstall. If its software related this would put everything back to spec. Mechanically I would call Mirtec as well to ask the best method so that you dont have to reteach all your boards.

Hi. We are having problems with what appears to be the firmware for our QP341 machine. It will not allow us to calibrate or change any settings for the pick-up-point on the tray unit. We are following the procedure in the manuals but it is not workin
