Russ u have mentioned that 0201 (inch) is called an 0603 (mm). How & Why? Can u prove it by calculation why these are equivalent sizes?

hi Jon, does it mean the protective layer is coated after the immersion silver process? if we need to bake the PCb due to moisture issue, then we can not hold the pCB long due to the missing protective layer even with vacuum seal environment

Play around and setup the coplanarity in Fuji Flexa and see if this can help you at all. Other than that I wouldn't have a clue as to what it might be.

In production,we are seeing high defect for Hair Line Solder Shorts for PTH connector and the Hair Line is too tiny that X-Ray and ICT could not detect.Any suggestion on how we can resolve or at least detect this upfront.

All possible causes aside, how can a dead short pass your ICT unless the connector is not probed.

They can be expensive and if your using water soluble chemistry you will have to immerse the pre-form into flux. Asking the vendor to provide flux with the pre-form I believe it would dry out prior to use.
