Thank you for your response. We build boards on an SMT line that is shared with other companies too and are currently using water soluble flux based solder paste on both boards. We realized an issue with washing on one of the boards so requested to

We run our wave pallets through a batch was with chemistry and DI water, they do not come out 100% but they are much better than no washing at all. Water Soluble fluxes come off fairly easily. No clean fluxes are a pain to get off and I haven't been

One thing that most of the sites I've worked in did NOT have was a room dedicated to SMT and the result is almost always a potentially dirty environment, even if you try hard to keep it clean. The one place I worked where they built a room specific

I have a number of nozzles for an Assembléon AX-201 that have been allowed to become clogged with old, dried-out solder paste. I am thinking of using an ultrasonic tank in an attempt to clean them for re-use, but I am concerned that isopropyl alcoho

Determine the origin of the solder * Sloppy paste printing technique * Lax stencil underside cleaning practices * Sloppy misprint cleaning practices * Poor part placement practices creating solder balls * Poor material control allowing solder p

Traceability can be made for many things. It is up to the factory and what it wants to implement. You can have traceability on the stencil for a several reasons: 1. Want to check stencil cycles 2. Want to verify if stencil is the correct one loaded 3

Hi Vikram, Have you looked at the rotating flux buster style pins? A few people do them, but this is probably the best illustration: https://ingun.com/en/Products/ProductGroups/ICT_FCT/CategoryFolder/RotatingTestProbes We also find that the longer

The only thing left is the read head. Older read heads tend to 'weaken' with age. Sometimes some engineers will shim them up closer to the scale using a 10 mil shim. You could also swap them between gantries...i dont think they are to tough to get to

Thank you for the answers. The paste is as spec No-Clean https://www.chipquik.com/datasheets/TS391SNL50.pdf I'am writing them too. For the excessive cooking not sure, the oven sensor (that I think is about right) looks I am close to the profile, bu

Key benefits for us: Labour saving - machine part of SMT line (mainly one product type, 2 shifts), so boards effectively delivered ready for the next stage, with no human interaction. Uniformity of finish - where we had a critical dimension we run
