I haven't had to remove that specific coating before but we regularly remove dow 2577 and other SR with Humiseal 1090 stripper.

I disagree with the others about conformal coating before potting. Some of the softer urethane potting compounds can absorb water leading to caustic nastiness in the voids under the parts. Conformal coating can help fill/seal the voids and keep the n

Rain X goes on windshields. Nano coating goes in the garbage. Order your stencils correctly from a reputable stencil house and fugetaboutit.

Is this an addition-cure silicone? We once had coating bubbling caused by the evolution of the solvent in the paste flux under leadless components.

Humiseal says: Typically, there are three main approaches to avoid coating wicking into press-fit connectors (and other keep out areas). Wicking is a phenomenon caused by a combination of low viscosity of conformal coating material and strong capilla

If you are using a Humiseal. try UV-40 gel which is about 20Kcps. it will dam your material from capillary flow. It should be applied prior to coating of your low viscous material.

Hello Don, We dont heat cure any of our assemblies. We coat relitively few boards and just let them cure at room temp. Perhaps we should start heat curing. In fact, we have an old, fully functional, heller 1500 just sitting in storage. Hmmm. . .

We are looking to puchase a table top conformal coating system. Can anyone tell me what to look for and are there systems that wont brake the bank.
