Agreed. We machine all our pallets in coolant. No dust but a big mess still results in the bottom of the CNC. You'll burn through a thousand cutters if you try it on a router table. Just doesn't seem feasible. You'd have to take like 0.020" dept

Looking for advice on soldering lead free paste to a board with very heavy gold plating, In my opinion, Gold contact surfaces are often used on circuit boards with membrane switches which is a choice of technology for industrial, commercial and consu

IMO – Look into nano-coatings for your stencil and radius all square apertures This should help out with solder paste releasing from the stencil helping with insufficient solder QFN LGA aperture design, try a stencil cut with a few different apertur

Your fluxes are required to be compatible per J-STD-001. I wouldn't even attempt mixing no-clean (rosin) and clean (assuming water soluble) fluxes on the same assembly, especially if the fluxes are from two different vendors. If your paste and liquid

Have you got a circuit diagram for your driver board? If not measure your driver into a resistive load and look for differences in current flow voltage drops under load dried out caps. Dead current measuring circuits etc. If you see an IC, look it up

I am about to order a stencil and I can already see that I'm going to have issues. I'm hoping someone has a recipe for this scenario that we haven't tried yet. The parts are 16 mil pitch bga's, the pads are NSMD (10 mil dia. with 12.6 mil mask open

We need to be careful with product to avoid introducing a new failure mode, namely corrosion and dendrite growth, especially those running no clean processes! In addition to heat (reflow, wave and some selective soldering processes) killing the vi

I often need to wind a coil for transformers, solenoids, or chokes, & I typically use craft plywood for the ends and a paper tube for the center, cemented with wood glue, or Cyanoacrylate . Then, I usually give it a coat of varnish or epoxy. I am cur
