How many times does it have to flex. There are acrylic conformal coatings that can be bent once to 90 degrees or so

Sounds like over molding would be ideal, but if they don't want to spend for a mold I would look at silicone conformal coatings that can be used in a dip process. Silicones are thicker than other coating materials and multiple drippings may provide t

The next question how do you do repair through conformal coating . Opps! Better off having done all your inspection and testing first! Hopefully your question is for service! regards sarason

You can inspect joints using an X-ray machine and we use a sand-blaster type machine which blasts (Starch) to remove the conformal coating. (Carbo Blast). However; the inspection should be done prior to Coating, as we all know some jobs are rushed t

Dow Corning 3-1953 is widely used when it comes to silicone based conformal coatings. Low odor, medium viscosity, can be atomized or needle dispensed. We have our operators fill syringe cartridges for any minor touch up.

By the time they've reached me/conformal coat they're depaneled (assuming they were panelized at all). Also looked at the tape dot method, but that's a no go as well due to coverage needs.

Can you suggest cost effective 3D printer for making conformal coating caps. And please let us know what you have considered.

What can cause solder balls to appear after conformal coating? Using Dymax 9-20557, light curing for 1.5 mins. Can too much heat from light cure cause solder balls?

We have never coated flexible circuits, although these guys apparently do as a part of their FC fabrication services: https://gcaflex.com/why-is-conformal-coating-important-for-flex-printed-circuit-boards/
