Ina ddition to the above it can be from CTE mismatch and the joints are breaking during cooling. Is this an Altera part?

It could be the blowers in cooling section of the oven. Try turning them off. It could be the belt is not level.

OK, I'll venture to ask..... why not use a reflow oven. Not as cool as lasers, but just as effective.
